Accedo Rolls Out Quality as a Managed Service Offering to Address Critical Aspects of OTT Service Delivery

Stockholm, Sweden, 13 November 2024 - Global video solutions provider Accedo has announced the official launch of a Quality as a Managed Service offering, to cost-effectively address critical aspects of OTT service delivery. The offering is designed to streamline the quality assurance process for video service providers, improving speed to market, reducing costs, and increasing end user satisfaction. It enables streaming companies to outsource QA testing and app certification with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), to achieve cost efficiency, improve quality of service, and combat churn.

Under a Managed Service agreement, customers gain full access to Accedo’s team of specialized QA experts who provide support throughout the entire lifecycle of the streaming service. Designed for Tier 1 and 2 Broadcasters, Pay TV Operators and Media and Entertainment companies, the offering includes automated and manual end-to-end testing, user experience testing, certification with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and management of service updates. This support is delivered through a 'white-glove' release management process, ensuring seamless updates and high-quality performance standards.

The Managed Service will allow video service providers to outsource the complex technical processes of QA testing and OEM certification to gain consistency and expertise, while keeping operational costs under control. Video service providers can access the Quality as a Managed Service offering through a monthly fee, tied to a selection of KPIs which align with key business metrics. The offering is priced according to OTT providers specific requirements, and comes with a number of QA modules as standard, including, test cases, functional testing, regression testing, app certification, API testing, bug reporting, defect verification, test reports and dashboard.
